Description:
Abstract: 
The dataset contains the vertical wind and thermodynamic profiles used for the Markowski et al. (2003) and Thompson et al. (2003) studies.  The profiles were obtained in proximity to nontornadic, tornadic, and weakly tornadic supercells selected by the Storm Prediction Center, using grids from the Rapid Update Cycle (RUC).  Some FORTRAN programs also are included for analyzing the data; these are the same codes used to produce the plots shown in the Markowski et al. (2003) article.
