Report templates define the contents and layout of the custom reports that can be generated by TargetLynx. There are nine default report templates installed with SCN 579 in folder: :\MassLynx\Report_Templates. Other example templates are installed in: :\MassLynx\Template_Examples. These templates can be copied and modified as required. If necessary they can be regenerated by clicking Reset on the first page of the Custom Reporting Wizard. Any new templates should be added to the Report_Templates folder to be available in the reporting wizard. N.B. Template filenames must not contain spaces or start with a number. The ten default templates are dependant on specific compound names as entered in the processing method. Other versions of these templates can be found in the examples folder that depend on the compound type, which is a new text based parameter that can be specified in the method. Version 2 of the templates includes the compound: 37Cl-2378-TCDD, whilst version 3 does not. The Examples.xml template explains and demonstrates many of the features available when creating templates. The Examples-uss.xml template demonstrates the ability of TargetLynx to employ user defined style sheets to specify the custom report layout. EPA form 5DCF is another example of a report that uses a user defined style sheet. An optional style sheet is also supplied for form 1DFB. To use this style sheet change the folling line in the template, from: to: (A style sheets is a specialised transformation file that converts data from one format to another. In this case data in the exported xml from TargetLynx is transformed into an html report, which can be displayed and printed in a web browser).
